Just experiment with the tools you have, plus you could always look up tuturials on how to color. >< that's what I do for when I want to do certain effects but don't know how. also study other peoples coloring techniques, and don't be afraid to step out of the ordinary! Like with skin, use blue or purple for shading! As long as you practice you'll get better and better!
